Brent is in his 23rd year at Duke University Golf Club. A lifelong Duke fan, Brent started at Duke in January 1999 after spending two years employed at Crooked Creek Golf Club in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Brent was elected to PGA membership in January 2000 and subsequently won Carolinas PGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year. As Head Golf Professional at Duke, his daily responsibilities include golf shop operations, tournament operations, and teaching.
A passionate teacher, Brent has a strong background in junior golf instruction and is a nationally certified Impact Zone golf instructor. Brent is a 1996 graduate of Methodist University (Fayetteville, NC) where he majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management and a minor in Economics. A native of Clayton, NC, he and his wife, Kelly, live in Durham.
