Eddie Huckabee III

Eddie Huckabee III joined Duke University Golf Club in July 2011 as a member of the grounds crew and was promoted to assistant superintendent in June 2016. Eddie found his passion for the game of golf here at Duke University Golf Club where he practiced and played daily in Highschool. He graduated from Jordan Highschool in Durham and went on to enrich his love for the game of golf by joining the golf team at Louisburg college.
Eddie graduated from North Carolina State University where he received his A.S. degree in turf grass management in 2016. While in school, he worked as a crew member at Duke University Golf Club where he honed his skills as a golf course specialist. Working as a grounds crew member has proven to be crucial in the development of his management skills providing him with the opportunity of becoming the Assistant superintendent at Duke University Golf Club. As an avid golfer, Eddie is able to bring fresh eyes to course maintenance from the perspective of a player.
Eddie is responsible for assigning and supervising daily tasks and maintenance practices, as well as assuring green speeds and playing conditions are of top quality that is expected at Duke University Golf Club.
While not working, or playing golf, Eddie enjoys hunting, fishing, flying drones and spending time with his girlfriend Taylor and their dog Kali.
