Megan ScharfMegan joined the Duke University Golf Club staff in February 2015 as a PGA Assistant Golf Professional. Megan is a recent graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration.
Megan is originally from the Las Vegas area and discovered her passion for the game of golf while playing the game with her father and playing competitively as a junior. Megan’s golf career began at the young age of 16 while working as an Outside Services representative for the Black Mountain Golf Club. Megan interned at various golf clubs and organizations while attending UNLV including: Vale Golf Club, Legacy Golf Club, Telluride Golf Club, and the First Tee of Southern Nevada. It was through these experiences that Megan developed her interest in golf shop merchandising and teaching the game of golf. Megan strives to provide a FUN lesson tee environment for all her students – for “If it’s not FUN, then it’s not worth doing!”
Away from the golf course, Megan enjoys photography and spending her free time outdoors and practicing yoga.
